CEVA and SilenTIum announced that the two companies have partnered to provide low-power active noise cancellation solutions for headset and audio products. CEVA and SilenTIum showcased the headset reference design based on this solution at the 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA from January 9th to 12th. Active noise cancellation is a must for consumers who are constantly looking to improve the experience of wireless headsets, earbuds, and hearing devices. Headset chip developers need a flexible solution to meet specific product needs, and SilenTIum's software-based algorithms, combined with CEVA's programmable DSP, offer this flexibility within the tight power budget of portable products. Based on CEVA-TeakLite-4, this solution implements SilenTIum's award-winning broadband P2P active noise cancellation technology to enhance the personal audio experience. This P2P solution supports broadband fully adaptive active noise cancellation up to 1000 Hz and allows licensees to select forward feedback, backward feedback or hybrid systems for their desired applications.
