In the era of Internet of Things (IoT), the reinforced concrete, cable and chip, and broadband are integrated into a unified infrastructure to realize the integration of human society and physical systems. The world operates on it and achieves a “smart” state, thereby improving resource utilization and productivity levels and realizing the unity of man and nature.

As the core of the Internet of Things strategy of the three major operators in China, NB-IoT has gradually formed the world's largest industrial chain in China. To some extent, low-power wide-area networks have made IoT terminals and sensors a direct user service contact, bringing directly needed resources to operations, and have become an important factor in the development of the Internet of Things.

According to Machina Research's May 2015 report, the total number of terminals that have achieved network interconnection in the world in 2015 is 16 billion. By 2025, the number of M2M (Machine to Machine) connected devices will reach 30 billion.

In terms of market size, the research institute IDC said that the scale of the IoT market in 2015 is estimated to be US$698.6 billion, accounting for about 18% of the total IT market; and by 2020, the Internet of Things market will reach US$1.7 trillion. It can be seen that the Internet of Things has a trillion-level market and huge development potential.

From the perspective of the industry chain, the entire NB-IoT industry chain can be roughly divided into five parts: chips, modules, terminals, operators, and vertical industries. The chip/module is located upstream of the industrial chain and is mainly controlled by large manufacturers. On the chip, NB-IoT chips are mainly produced by Huawei's Neul, Intel, MTK, ZTE, Datang, Spreadtrum and other major manufacturers. Because chip technology requires advanced technical support and long-term research and development, like Intel Large manufacturers of the class, SMEs simply can not compete.

In terms of modules, NB-IoT modules are also mainly produced by original 2G/3G/LTE module manufacturers, such as Ublox, Mobile Communications, Telit and other companies. Therefore, in the chip and module, NB-IoT has a high market concentration, mainly led by some large manufacturers. New players have no accumulation in technology and research and development, and it is difficult to develop in this field.

OFweek: At this exhibition, what products have featured and highlights?

Gu Xin: At this exhibition, we brought the latest products NB-IoT module, LoRa transmission module, serial to 4G module, industrial grade WiFi module, industrial grade Bluetooth module, embedded Ethernet module and LoRa smoke base. .

In addition to the above-mentioned classic "star products" that have been unveiled, some people have network IO controllers and some people have passed through the cloud. The two products are used in combination, which can directly realize remote control after power-on, and can automatically recognize the Modbus transmission protocol, realize the "receive format data", and can "return the format data" precision function.

OFweek: Is there a chance for a character network to start from hardware and transform into hardware and software?

Gu Xin : At first we only sold hardware products, which led us to do a lot of integration work after purchase to use our products. Based on the willingness to help customers solve these problems, we turned to the development of software and hardware products.

There are people in the Internet. The innovation of NB-IoT lies in the built-in antenna and SIM card. It is also the latest product on the market. Most of the products on the market do not have these built-in modules. In the case where the customer's 3G version needs to be connected, we Simplified customer use procedures.

OFweek: Please talk about your understanding of the entire IoT industry chain?

Gu Xin: In the NB-IoT industry chain, chips, modules, devices, and systems are indispensable parts. People's networking is an industry chain that is between modules and devices and is located in the middle of the upstream. I think there is a key word in the Internet of Things industry: it is highly fragmented. As a very fragmented market, the trend of NB-IoT and eMTC replacing other products in the past two seasons is irreversible. Domestic and foreign companies such as operators, chip vendors and base station designers are optimistic about the development of the two.

There is a network of people who have already brought products to market. Now there are thousands of customers testing our samples. The test period is between three and six months. When the test results come out, the market will start to bear fruit. I expect this year. The NB-IoT market is on the tens of millions of levels, and the real outbreak will be next year, which is 2019.

OFweek: How do people's networking grasp the current market opportunities?

Gu Xin: The Internet of Things is in its infancy, and I predict that there will be explosive growth next year. Now we have thousands of customers testing our samples for three to six months, now in April, and maybe in October they will be mass-produced. The estimated amount in 2018 will reach tens of millions.

We are positioning more in industry and commerce. From the market point of view, there are more European and American markets, which are more popular markets. The development speed of NB-IoT is unprecedented, and the state has also given strong support, such as forcing operators to install base stations. In addition, the company is located in the hinterland of the North China Plain, and the personnel are relatively stable. We are the first in the field in Shandong.

The positioning of the character network is an ecological industrial Internet of Things. At its core is the connection of networked sensors and application terminals. We serve our customers, but we never grab the customer's business and focus on the link. We have tens of thousands of customers and small B customers. In my opinion, the role of character networking is like selling shovel in the Nuggets era, serving the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.
