Element14 has announced the availability of the Discover Wi-Fi development board for the STMicroelectronics (ST) STM32F4 Discovery microcontroller development kit for wireless connectivity. The Discover Wi-Fi development board uses the Murata SN8200 wireless network controller module to provide on-board Wi-Fi functionality and a network software stack, making it the perfect choice for a variety of high-performance, low-power wireless solutions.

The Discover Wi-Fi development board plugs into ST's STM32F4 Discovery kit and offers a wide range of features with UART and SPI command interfaces and IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards operating at 2.4 GHz. The Discover Wi-Fi development board is also equipped with source code, documentation and software demos to help you quickly launch your wireless network project.

Users in the Asia Pacific region can now purchase the Discover Wi-Fi development board through the elementary alliance for $39.99.

The Discover Wi-Fi development board provides external power through a 5V DC power interface or a small USB interface, and easily communicates with other main modules.
